Don’t forget oatmeal! It is a simple and healthy way to start off the morning. If you are a regular user— good for you—if not revisit it!

  • 2½ cup old fashioned or cut oatmeal makes 1 cup cooked oatmeal
  • 1 cup water for each ½ cup oatmeal

Cook on medium-low or low, depending on if you are watching closely or not. Bring to a boil for a couple of minutes until it is nice and thick.

Put in a bowl and top with your favorite topping

  • Brown sugar
  • Honey
  • Agave syrup
  • Maple syrup
  • Molasses
  • Blueberries
  • Bananas
  • Raisins
  • Currants
  • Nuts
  •  Ground flaxseed (great way to start off the morning!)
